Meme Pool
Meme Pool was an electronic sound composition created for OX1: A Festival of Oscillaions and Vibrations, Oxford (Oct 2001)
Making use of manipulated real-world sounds, the piece explored the potential for triggering memories and associations within a relaxing ‘ambient’ soundscape. The piece was presented in a darkened room, with a small number of hanging lightbulbs barely glowing. The audience (only 10 at a time) lay on small white mats. Each performance lasted approximately 15 min.
